"Brett Rathbone has fashioned a carefully-wrought and highly appealing novel of friendship, betrayal and budding love. Trevor (the central character), a refreshing departure from conventional protagonists, is a touching and completely convincing character. Rathbone's dialogue is always convincing, and well-employed to reveal character and move the story forward."
As a teenager I fell in love with books. First, the fantasy worlds of Edgar Rice Burroughs, then the incredible beauty of the works of John Steinbeck. Of course, I went through a big Stephen King phase - but he seems to write novels faster than I can read them, so I gave up.
These days, I like Cormac McCarthy, Larry McMurtry, Chuck Palahniuk, Jonathan Franzen and Joseph Boyden among others.
